Every time. Please don't pull out your calculator to check this again. Think back to what you learned in 3rd grade and try figuring this one out in your head. In fact, why don't you give the next one a go as well. I'll give you a hint: $1.95 minus $0.50 is $1.45.
I guess that wasn't so much a hint so much as it was the answer.

Was she using the calculator on her phone? That seems to be the method of choice for the algebra they are faced with every Tuesday.
